Higg Index: measuring our environmental footprint
The Higg Index assesses environmental performance and facility management, covering energy, water, emissions and waste.
The Higg Index is a set of assessment tools that measures the environmental footprint of textile manufacturing — energy, water, emissions, waste and chemicals — together with how the facility itself is managed. We use it to understand and improve how our mill performs.
Our fibre and product programmes — GOTS, OCS, GRS, Fairtrade, OEKO-TEX, regenagri and the Regenerative Organic Certified programme — certify what we make. The Higg Index complements them by looking at the facility behind the product.
For brands, sourcing teams & product developers
Let's develop what comes next.
Bring us a fibre goal, a performance brief or a sustainability challenge. We'll help translate it into yarn and fabric.
